A lot has been racing through my mind recently concerning ministry and the future.
Our country Ghana is going to be an interesting place in the near future and I can say without any equivocation that the future is going to be more intelligent and intellectual than ever.
Perhaps, we should be prepared to engage like the second century.
I have made a few observations, especially what goes on within social media.
Once I found a post by a facebook friend saying Israel was perpetrating evil against poor Palestinians. The post and picture were actually taken from a movie and not a reality.
I commented and showed him where the picture was taken from, immediately, he acknowledged he had erred and quickly took off the post. It is called intellectual honesty!
Some may acknowledge the truth even if it goes against them. For such people, we must continue to point to the truth!
There are others who would ask questions just to seek to discredit the scriptures such as this one below.
When asked about how many races wrote the Bible, the writer is quick to say they are all Europeans, now when asked to name which Europeans wrote the scriptures, he immediately shifts to another question, of who brought the Bible to Africa.
Now, that is called RED HERRING: "a clue or piece of information which is or is intended to be misleading or distracting."

For this group of people, we must keep learning to contend because there are many who know little but can see when someone is just becoming misleading and mischievous. They are called the VULNERABLES and for their sake, we cannot afford to slack on learning.
They are the type who may not comment because they can't take the intellectual heat but would contact you in your inbox to want to know more.
Then there are those who would not look at any evidence that is provided them but continues to call themselves undisputed. No matter how many references you provide in a write-up, they would not even investigate. They have an agenda. What they do is called INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY!
A good example is Avraham Ben Moshe, when given references of historical records containing the information about Jesus Christ, he would not even check, but continue to say "still I am undisputed"
They would prey on the vulnerable and we can't let that happen.
These are just musings, and as I end, let me say, I was inspired to put this together by my late Papa, Oliver Desbordes Acquah.
He would tell you, LEAVE NONE BEHIND! and then would be quick to add, "if you don't develop capacity, you would not be able to reach a certain group", but Jesus died for "whosoever" and today, as I look back, the reality of the intellectual fight dawns on me more than ever!
